brotray: (And I had more self control)

[ No, Kwangjo doesn't think for a second that Shinwoo ever wants to rekindle their relationship. It is a shame, because in his own twisted way Kwangjo really does miss Shinwoo. Kwangjo may not have ever been a good person at any point in his life, but there was a point when he wasn't as terrible as he is now. Shinwoo knew him during that time...

There are moments when Kwangjo is sitting in his large studio apartment, the girls he convinced to come home with him that night asleep, naked on his bed, while Kwangjo stares out the floor to ceiling windows tossing back enough alcohol to numb any trace of genuine human feeling he still has lingering himself him. Before that numbing kicks in, however, or sometimes backed by the liquor in his system, Kwangjo finds his thoughts wandering to Shinwoo, and missing his friend.

His "old friend" who sounds like a child throwing a tantrum over having to say it. He probably is, and if Kwangjo had any decency he'd drop the ruse. Shame then that Kwangjo didn't have a shred of decency in him.

Kwangjo reaches up to idly scratch at the side of his neck, smiling almost lazily at Shinwoo as he considers the comment.
]

Maybe, but we are still old friends.

[ It's hard to tell if he's trying to goad Shinwoo into attacking him or not, because the look he gives him could be read as both fond and patronizing all at once, considering their history and Kwangjo's current indiscretions. ]

[ So this was what it was about after all. Kwangjo can't really say he's surprised, though he is wondering who it was that spilled the beans to Shinwoo. They still have a few mutual acquaintances, though most of them wouldn't be aware of his affair with Sunhye. Of course, Sunhye herself might have snapped and rubbed the truth into Shinwoo's face. In fact, right now that's Kwangjo's working theory, instead of his younger brother being the horrendous shit he is and telling his former best friend everything.

That said, if Shinwoo tells him it was Youngjo? Kwangjo wouldn't be even a little bit surprised.

He won't be fishing for sources though, because in all honestly Kwangjo doesn't care who told Shinwoo that his fiance was cheating on him with Kwangjo. It was only a matter of time, and he was well aware of that. It's why he's not going to deny it either. It's certainly not from some sense of nobility, and respect for his friend that has him offering Shinwoo a tight lipped smile that doesn't reach his eyes.

Ah...

[ Maybe now would be a good time to take a few more steps back, but he'll stand in place for now. It's unlikely he's getting out of this without at least one punch to the face. He'll just have to be careful to make sure that Shinwoo doesn't break his nose. ]

[ He saw it coming the minute Shinwoo told him while he was here, but the distance does give Kwangjo enough time to try to turn his head and keep the damage from being too severe. Still, a punch to the face sucks, and for an office worker Shinwoo seems to pack a lot of power behind that blow.

Kwangjo reels backwards, stumbling to the side before catching himself. It's honestly amazing he didn't fall flat on his ass, all things considered. He does know better than to stay within range of Shinwoo's fists though, and he quickly scrambles backwards, eyes darting back and forth as he takes in his surroundings.

He'd rather talk things out if at all possible, but he will make a break for it if he's forced to. Kwangjo never claimed not to be a massive coward, and he's not interested in taking Shinwoo's punches, no matter how much he "might deserve it".
