Granted, this is not a rare state of mind for Shinwoo. If anything, it's more rare to find him in a mood that isn't some form of angry - even if it ranges anywhere from mild annoyance to fury. But this time it isn't over one of the smaller, more common things in life. Annoying people to deal with at work, annoying bosses to deal with at work, another spat with Sunhye, realising this is what his life amounts to now when he's dropping down on his bed in their apartment by himself half-drunk to just try and feel something else in his life.. those are the usual things. Not good things, no, but the usual things. You get used to even the shittiest of things after a while, even if it might partially kill you inside.
No, this is something he has every right to be furious about. Sure, to say his relationship with Sunhye is kind of on the rocks right now would be the biggest understatement in the world, but to think that she would just go off and cheat.. and not just with anyone, no, with the very former best friend that screwed up his life this badly to begin with. It's like a horrible case of irony, except Shinwoo isn't the one that can be uninvolved and laugh about it. Just thinking about it makes his blood boil and immediately makes the desire arise to punch whatever is nearest - and the most Kwangjo-shaped, for that one.
Not that he hasn't gotten some of the frustration out already. Youngjo sure got part of it when he told him about it, and then by the time Shinwoo got himself plastered afterwards and stumbled home halfdrunk, at least he had calmed down somewhat in the morning. Slightly. Not enough to not make him mad all over again at the thought of what he had only now heard of (and, if it wasn't for Youngjo, something he still wouldn't know of, despite how long this might have been going on already), but enough to not render him unable to go outside without wanting to punch literally everything. Which is acceptable enough, right? Sure. It's what he'll go with.
It's calm enough to finally reply to one of Kwangjo's endless texts that still haven't stopped after all this time to tell him to meet up without immediately slinging curses and insults at the other.
That's got to be worth something.
He only confirms to make sure he got an affirmative reply from the other before hurriedly putting on a coat and making his way out to where he asked him to meet - a cafe not too far from his house. Except he isn't planning on going inside and waiting for his former best friend at a table. It's not exactly a conversation he wants the whole world to be listening in on, after all. So instead he waits outside for the other, hands balling into fists so tight in the pockets of his coat that his knuckles turn white. ]
