[ The words manage to draw an instinctive small laugh from him. Mostly because unlike Youngsik, Ishtar understands the irony in that statement... if only the other knew just how much a few songs could potentially kill Ishtar, even if it wouldn't be the songs themselves that would do him in.
It hurts a little though. Not any serious hurt, but he does feel at least a little bit bad (yes, he's actually capable of feeling guilty sometimes, shamelessness or no shamelessness) that he won't be able to meet the other halfway when Youngsik is being such a good baby and trying to compromise with him. And any other day he would have gladly given in - hell, he wouldn't even have tried to drag the other out of here, he would have been glad to just go along with whatever Youngsik wanted him to do, he's way too weak for how cute Bael's human self is. Dancing does sound like fun, after all, and even as a demon he doesn't look down on human games, they always look like fun when Youngsik is playing them.
But he doesn't want to risk it. Not now. Not when he can't sense just how far away the angels are exactly - and if they're too close, then even lingering here for one more song might be trouble. It's not like they won't be able to get away at all if they're spotted, but it's going to be hard.. and so it's just part of the whole not wanting to risk anything deal. Not wanting to risk losing Bael again when it hasn't even been incredibly long since he found him again like this.
It also means, however, that he doesn't know how long he has to get the other out of here. And despite the fact that Ishtar is an expert at seducing and all, and pretty good at convincing people... he's weak for Youngsik to begin with since it's Bael, and Youngsik is stubborn as hell on top of it. He's not sure how quickly he can get the other to give in here-- but that just means he has to try, right?
Ishtar does step up on the game pad as well, but it's not with any intention of actually playing the game. Even if a song is just a few minutes, the thought of it is enough to make him feel vaguely nauseous with worry. No - he's just getting up there so he's close enough to Youngsik to get some physical contact going, the best way Ishtar knows of convincing anything, being a sex demon and all.
He wraps his arms around the other's waist, drawing him closer until his chest is touching Youngsik's back and planting a kiss on the other's neck as if they're not in the middle of an arcade where anyone could walk in. ]
Can't my Sikkie be good to me just once...?
[ He doesn't make it sound like a demand - he knows that only makes things worse when it's Youngsik he's talking to.. he's very reminiscent of Bael when it comes to that, that's for sure, no matter how different they are in other ways. Instead it's more like a plea. Not like Ishtar doesn't know how to be submissive when he has to be, and even though Youngsik is his baby, Bael is at least something that draws it out more naturally in him. ]
Then next time you get to do whatever you want with me. I'll even let you decide when and where. [ Since, you know, otherwise Ishtar is the kind of guy that just pops up whenever he pleases in Youngsik's life. Granted, he does know that giving the other that much power out of the blue must seem a little oddly desperate, but he doesn't have time to be too subtle right now, even if it might make the other a little suspicious. ]
[Alright...well, shit. Ishtar's got him in his clutches now, because there's no way in hell he's going to pass up an offer as good as that one. Getting mister mystery man to show up wherever and whenever he wants? It's a done deal.
Of course, even though he's already decided on that in his head...he's not going to give his "yes" right this second. Ishtar's the one dragging him out of here anyway, and he feels like he's at least due to give him a bit of a hard time about it. Like...come on, he really did want to stay for a little while, and he's not the type to give up easily if he's already set his mind on doing something. Especially not after he was already being good and trying to meet halfway too. Still though, Ishtar's tipping the scales and making this an easier choice than it would've been otherwise. (Honestly, it's flying over his head right now that this is kind of a desperate move...because obviously Ishtar would want to spend time with him that badly anyway, right?? Maybe he'll realize it sooner or later if his ego's ever done being huge).
He's grinning- tilting his head back, and looking at the other guy behind him. Yeah, he gives absolutely no shits about being in the middle of an arcade with people around either. To be fair, it's still pretty deserted since it's the middle of a weekday...but it's not like he'd act any different if it was packed on a saturday night either.]
Hmmmmmmmmm...I dunnoooo~
[His tone's mostly light and jokey- still teasing more than anything...even if there's something like a hint of seriousness to it too.]
How'm I supposed to know you'll stick with a deal when the odds are so stacked in my favor? It's not like I have a way of getting a hold of you. You know...just saying.
[There's no subtlety about it. He shrugs and closes his eyes- shaking his head and keeping up the same tone of voice.
It's true though. Ishtar may be offering him a lot, but it's no good if he doesn't actually get to call the other guy over when he does want to pick a time. And he doesn't want to just spontaneously ask for something right now either- that's no fun. He wants to think long and hard about his decision (not really...but he does want to give it more thought than that). Besides, if there's any prize that's really worth anything- it's getting the hot mystery man's digits.]
[ To be fair, it isn't like Ishtar doesn't want to spend time with Youngsik. He's head over heels for Bael - and that's probably still putting it lightly, considering the lengths he's going to for the other even after he got reincarnated like this - and that does extend to Youngsik too, even though they're not exactly the same person. If he could spend every waking moment around the other without risk, he would.. but it's too risky with the angels around, not too mention that watching Youngsik live all of his life would just be.. weird. Seeing his family and friends? It was already hard enough sharing him with the other demons he had sex with, how is Ishtar ever going to get used to such weird human concepts?
It makes showing up at random the much easier choice, but he supposes it's the best way he can compromise right now to get the other out of a dangerous situation without having to compromise on something much more complicated - what Youngsik precisely is and what Ishtar's connection with him is.
Not that he doesn't let out an exaggerated sigh anyway when the human responds like that. Exaggerated since he doesn't really mind any of this, but if the other is being so playful about it, then it's just the easiest to go along with it. Just make it seem like this isn't a serious situation that Ishtar is actually a little nervous about at all. ]
Maybe you need to get a few lessons on how to be subtle, baby. [ But he knows the other wasn't even trying.
And hey, Youngsik is getting what he wants. Because it's not like Ishtar is clueless to the human world - you got to know at least some things when you're an incubus and go around seducing humans into one night stands and all that. It means he knows about cellphones, at least, and even does have one of his own. So it doesn't even feel weird to fish out Youngsik's own phone from Youngsik's pocket (another upside to this backhug, it makes it so easy to just slip it out), hold it in front of Youngsik and type in a phone number before saving it in his contacts. ]
There you go. Try to not get too overwhelmed by it.
[ Since he does have a way of contacting the other now. Especially since Ishtar is planning on picking it up whenever the other does call, and replying to his texts too. Playing the mystery man is fun, yes, but so is just talking to his adorable amusing Sikkie. He can find a balance between the two, surely. ]
Just don't doubt me and ask if it's really my number, okay? [ Mostly since he isn't lying here! Really! Even though he's a demon, it's not like he's going to screw over someone he does genuinely care about. Youngsik is different from all the people he's had sex with before, if not just by virtue of technically being Bael.
Not that he doesn't say it in an over the top way anyway, pouting a little against the other's shoulder. ] I'd be hurt!
He knew it was only a matter of time before he'd get that number on his phone, but it's good to know it's finally, actually there. The first step in having a little more control over where and when he meets mystery man- even though he doubts it'll be that easy to get a hold of him any time he wants. It's never that simple- especially not with a guy who goes this far to begin with. Still, it's a start isn't it?
And honestly, there's no reason for him to think Ishtar would give him a fake number anyway, so he just lets out a laugh- leaning back against him as he does. It's always good to find a guy who doesn't take himself way too seriously- who'll just play along with him like this. And the even better bonus is finding someone who'll go beyond a little pda in public- even initiating it. That always makes for a better time.]
I'll just have to test it out later, then. But if I find out it's not your number, you'll be in trooouubbbllleee the next time we meeeet.
[At least the way he's phrasing it makes it obvious he doesn't think it's a fake number. Even if Ishtar did pull a fast one on him this time, he doubts he'd get too pissed over it...especially if he kept on showing up anyway, and he did get the real number next time. Although he'll definitely take the real number anyway, thanks very much.
Since he's got what he wanted, he'll be a good boy and stick to his word.
First though...Youngsik reaches up and pulls Ishtar's head down a little though- blatantly tugging him down into a kiss. Not a very long one- just short and sweet and to the point...enough to get a good taste. But he pulls back- grinning again like nothing happened. And this time he's ready to play along a little more.]
Alright, so where's mom taking me off to that's so important?
[ Yeah, right, Youngsik. You couldn't intimidate Ishtar even if you genuinely tried to, let alone with a jokey threat like that. He's not even afraid of Bael, after all, and that's saying something. Especially when you consider just how much shit Bael was causing even by demon standards that the angels bothered to do this much to him. And when it's someone with the same good looking face as Bael but a ten thousand times cuter personality? Well, the only thing that sort of joke is going to do with Ishtar is make him feel even more endeared towards the other.
It's almost enough to make him forget about everything else for a few moments, especially when the human is pulling his head down to kiss him. It's so very tempting to stay here for a while and play games with Youngsik and have fun with him and make out with him a little, even if they're in public.
But when the other speaks up again, it quickly draws Ishtar back to reality. Right. He has to get moving with the other now or they're going to be in the deepest shit possible - and if even Bael couldn't hold off the angels in the end before they did this to him, then Ishtar knows he doesn't have the slightest chance. He's just an incubus.. sure, he's stronger than humans, but by demon standards he's a total weakling. Running away is just about his only option.
So he does slip his arms off the other, instead grabbing Youngsik's hand and tugging on it to take him along as he starts to head out of the arcade. He knows convincing the other is only half the work, but as far as he's concerned, it's the more difficult half. Running from angels is kind of nerve-inducing, but trying to convince Youngsik while still making sure he isn't completely botching up their bond is another story entirely. Ishtar likes to think he's good at tact and convincing people (you kind of have to be, being what he is and all), but with Youngsik still having some lingering traits of Bael inside of him.. well, that makes things a little harder.
For now phase one of his plan is done though, and his smile seems without a single care as he stares at the other. ]
It's a secret! [ Ishtar is glad he opted for the whole mystery man approach - it means this kind of response doesn't even seem the slightest bit weird. Even though he's definitely not being mysterious on purpose here and it's more just a filler answer while he thinks of where the hell to bring Youngsik that's out of the reach of the nearby patrolling angels. Thankfully he's at least good at being fairly convincing about this much - he even puts a finger of his free hand against his lips to exaggerate it like a joke even more.
Once they're out of the building, he starts pulling the other along in the opposite direction of where he's sensing the angels from. His pace isn't fast enough to be suspicious per se, but he sure isn't stopping for a moment - Ishtar doesn't want to risk it. ]
Or would you rather hear something like me wanting to go anywhere at all as long as it's with my cute Sikkie, hm?
[ He laughs, managing to keep it from sounding strained with how tight the nerves in his chest feel right now. It just sounds light and bubbly like Ishtar's laugh usually does. ]
[As long as Ishtar doesn't say what they're actually doing here (that being running away from angels), Youngsik's bought the whole act. Ishtar being a mystery man is definitely helping his case too- it feels like such a typical response that it doesn't even cross his mind that there might be something else going on here. Well...nothing major anyway, and especially not dangerous.
He laughs and rolls his eyes when Ishtar puts his finger up to his lips in a "shh" gesture after saying it's a secret. Even if Youngsik ended up getting the guy's number after this long, he guesses he can't expect him to give him the answers to everything else, huh? That's too much to ask for someone who's gotta keep up that good old air of mystery. Not that he really minds all that much- it's still fun anyway, and he doubts that Ishtar would drag him off to something boring after that little display.
It makes him feel stupidly giddy when Ishtar laughs like that while he's tugging him along by his hand though. Not like some schoolgirl who can't handle a crush, but just something that makes him feel light, and happy- looking forward to finding out what they're doing. He doesn't know the other guy quite well enough to pick up on the fact that he's nervous, so...right now, he's just going along for the ride.]
I mean, I'd like hearing that normally, but for now I'd have to ask why "arcade" isn't included in "anywhere". You got somethin against them?
[He doesn't seem bothered by that though, even when he says it. Maybe because Youngsik can be a "flattery will get you everywhere" kind of guy sometimes...but also because he's still figuring that there is a plan here, somewhere.]
Wait, wait. It's not cuz you can't dance is it? Because you know, maybe I'm wrong, but I'd find that one kind of hard to believe.
["You don't judge a book by it's cover", sure, but Ishtar just seems like the type who'd be good at dancing, right? Not that DDR is exactly, you know, the same exact thing since you gotta hit your feet on the buttons the machine tells you to...but hell, he'd sure like to see any kind of dancing from the other guy. Sounds like a pretty hot show to watch for him.]
[ He glances over at the other as he says it, eyebrows raised in completely innocent surprise - except it's not genuinely that, of course not. It's Ishtar, and there's as always an air about it that he knows exactly what the other is thinking when it comes to these kind of topics. Maybe it's just due to being an incubus and all, but Ishtar is very well aware that he's a pretty hot guy. It's in the job description, you know? Can't very well get tons of people to bed unless you're attractive enough for it.
For a moment it feels almost surprisingly easy to put on the way he usually acts, no matter what sense of dread is still running through his veins. Maybe it's since he wishes so bad he could just genuinely act like this right now without any ulterior intentions, because Youngsik makes it so easy to fall back into that with Ishtar's fondness for the human Bael turned into. ]
Are you saying you've already imagined me dancing? We could always go to a club sometime if you think that'd be fun, you know.
[ Ishtar smiles, but then as he tilts his head a little to the side, he gives off the sort of (very much exaggerated) reaction that makes it seem like he just realised something. ]
Or were you thinking of other kind of dances? [ An outraged gasp. ] You're still too young for that!
[ Okay, not really, but it feeds into the baby thing that he keeps pulling on Youngsik. It's hard to not still kind of see him as a baby (but still one he'd gladly do sexy things with) when Youngsik acts so different from Bael in some ways... He's so much softer due to being a human that it really is like he's some sort of baby Bael.
And even as Ishtar is talking like usually, he's still moving the whole time. He doesn't stop for the talking even once, walking on the whole time and directly away from the arcade. No matter how much he's still trying to keep up their usual sort of talks, he hasn't forgotten the reason he's doing this at all.. He has to keep them out of the angels' reach, and the current safest way to do that is by trying to keep a step extra away from them, even though he can still feel them heading in their direction - it can't be that they really are onto their tracks, right?
It fills him with worry again, and he makes sure to not let go of Youngsik for a moment either. At least he can feel somewhat less paranoid knowing that the other is directly here with him through the physical contact. ]
[Maybe in some ways, it's a good thing Youngsik doesn't know there's anything else going on here. It definitely makes it easier to act all carefree like this, and just joke around with Ishtar for sure...and apparently, that's enough to help the other guy a little (even if he's not realizing it right now). Honestly, another good reason he hasn't noticed is because Youngsik's the type to brazenly stare into the face of anything that's supposedly "dangerous". He barely has a sense of fear...he's not even sure if he has one at all- he can't remember the last time something scared him.
Of course, some sort of macho part of him would come out too if he felt like he could help the other guy- keeping him safe from whatever he's afraid of. And if Ishtar's paranoia keeps showing through, he might catch on eventually...but not just yet.]
Uhhh why not both kinds of dances? Usually that's the best answer when you're stuck between two things, don't you think? Both. Age restriction's never stopped me before, it's not gonna stop me now.
[Even though they both know very well that he is old enough, Youngsik still goes along with Ishtar whenever he starts acting like this. Maybe the two of them haven't known each other forever, but for as long as they've been together, it just feels natural to fall into this sort of pattern.
Stiiiilllll....he really would like both kinds of dances, right? Who in their right mind wouldn't? He slides an arm around Ishtar a bit more- tugging him closer and giving him a trademark cocky look at the same time. Alright, so...he knows he's not going to be getting a dance right now either way, but...He can still make it obvious he'd like one eventually, right? Especially when Isthar at least already offered to go clubbing with him...kinda early in the day for that right now anyway.
Either way, it feels nice to be walking this close to him, and he's happily oblivious to any of the other shit going on.]
[ This sure is a moment where he's grateful that he already established a lot of physical contact with Youngsik in the past and that the other is fond of it enough too to just pull Ishtar closer to him without needing any prompting whatsoever. It's a relief in the middle of this current situation to be able to actually feel the human against him and know he's there, after all, and they practically couldn't be walking any closer than they already are now.
Still.. No matter how much Ishtar is perfectly okay with who he is and pretty self-confident as well, there are also moments like now where he wishes he was at least a little bit more as a demon. One that's just a little stronger, one whose powers are a little more useful in a combat situation. This situation would be so much easier if he was capable of taking the angels head on.. like Bael would have been if they hadn't come in too crazy of a number as they had. Like Skadi would have been if he were here right now. Why is it that among all of the demons he knows, he had to just be the one who is barely capable of making out alive when being confronted by even just one angel?
It makes him caught up in his thoughts for just a moment longer than he'd like to - since he definitely doesn't want Youngsik to catch on to what's happening. But his paranoia keeps making him mentally check for the angels, and that means his reply comes just a moment later, no matter how natural it still seems. ]
Don't push your luck. I'm not going to just do it right here and now!
[ Not that Ishtar is modest in any way... It's more just that the last thing he wants to do in a situation this potentially dangerous is giving lapdances. Seriously. Even incubi have standards, you know.
He does figure though he should cover for that momentary lapse there though. Youngsik isn't stupid, and Bael is definitely the type who would never give up on something he's latched on to, so he needs to make sure Youngsik doesn't get any wrong (right) ideas here to latch on to begin with.
So Ishtar makes his smile shrink just a tiny bit, enough to look a little more awkward as he lets out a small chuckle. ]
Sorry. Guess I'm not feeling so well today. [ Maybe he can pass it off like some minor human inconvenience. A slight headache? Stomachache? Something like that. ] But I wanted to see you anyway.
[If it'd been someone else, he probably wouldn't have even noticed a little pause in the conversation like that. He knows his fair share of people, and it's not like it's always some big telling Thing if they miss a beat while they're talking. But given the way conversations usually go between him and Ishtar, it definitely does stick out a little more. It seems like more than anything else, Ishtar's kind of distracted with something else (and if it's big enough to distract from him, it must be a pretty big deal, right).
Honestly...part two of his thoughts on this- Ishtar bringing up that he's not feeling well. It almost make Youngsik feel like the other guy's trying to come up with some sort of excuse for...well, something else. Or maybe that he's actually worse than he's letting on. Youngsik's instincts on this sort of thing are usually pretty good...but it's still kinda hard to figure out why the guy'd do something like that. It's not like he's even got a ton of history or background on Ishtar that could help him take a stab at a guess.
Well...he's got one thing he can ask though. He tilts his head towards Ishtar a bit more and raises an eyebrow, but still goes about it kind of casually- not stopping their pace, and keeping his arm around the other guy.]
Not feeling well but you wanna drag me off somewhere anyway? Don't get me wrong, I get it. [He really just can't resist a comment like that.] But what's the big rush if you're not feeling great?
[It's an honest question too, even if Ishtar wants to keep where they're going a secret. He knows the other guy's not going to bring him to something actually sketchy, so it's not like he's feeling uneasy about any of this. But there's still...definitely something about this that's a liiitllle bit weird.
Even so, he can't help but grin at the sappiness of the last comment too- no matter what else is going on. It's important. And maybe because they're so close to each other too...he really can start to see a bit that Ishtar seems a little off.]
You know, if you just wanted to go laze around at my place or something and have me play nurse, you could've just said so from the start.
[ How cute to see the other offer that to him so easily. It's not exactly like Bael was always the most thoughtful person around - but it's not like demons are thoughtful most of the time to begin with, so Ishtar didn't mind that one bit when he instantly crushed on Bael like some horny teenager. But seeing his reincarnated self say something so cute even when Ishtar is just faking not feeling too well physically - when it's actually more mentally - is just adorable.
He almost wishes he could just give in to that right now. Just let Youngsik take Ishtar to his home and let the other play nurse for him.. He could probably even get the other to come cuddle with him in bed if he played his cards right, he's sure, and the idea of that fills his heart with warmth. It feels like a waste to just let this side of Bael go away once he manages to somehow get through to the other's memories.. So it's not too bad lingering for a while longer with the cute human version of him.
But he knows he can't just go home with Youngsik. Not right now, not in this situation. Ishtar is way too much on edge to consider staying at one place and letting the angels possibly track them down. It'd be much harder to think of an excuse to get him and Youngsik out of the house and somewhere else once he did give in to it and they did end up getting into trouble. Maybe another day when there's less risk.. He would really like that, and it's pretty obvious in the way he smiles at the other with a fond kind of adoration. ]
You're precious.
[ It doesn't sound condescending in any way though.. there's not even any of Ishtar's usual joking tone in it as he says those words. It's just genuine soft affection, a feeling that surprises even Ishtar himself a little bit. Sure, he's felt this before with his bestie and all, but this feels extra special. Important. There's no way he could ever let any angel get their hands on someone as precious as this reincarnated version of Bael.
(He makes sure to keep walking though, he can't let himself drift off too far into daydreams and risk it.) ]
I'm not sure if there's much you can do about it this time, but.. I sure won't resist the thought of doing something like that next time, cutie.

Alright, so where's mom taking me off to that's so important?
no subject

Sounds like a pretty hot show to watch for him.]
no subject
no subject

] But I wanted to see you anyway.
no subject
You know, if you just wanted to go laze around at my place or something and have me play nurse, you could've just said so from the start.
no subject
