[Overconfident is the perfect term to describe a guy like Youngsik, even though he'd never admit to being "over"confident. That's just implying that he's more confident than he actually ought to be, and he'd tell you there's no way in hell that's right.

Growing up in a great home, with great parents, a great neighborhood, and great friends- even Youngsik knows he's got all the luck in the world getting a life like that. It's like everything's lined up for him perfectly, and maybe in part- that's given him some confidence that everything will just go his way. But honestly...it's got a lot more to do with the things Youngsik himself will never know.

As different, and as similar as he might've turned out from Bael, Youngsik, at his core, did come into this world without a completely clean slate. His soul itself is old enough to span more than a few human lifespans...and the characteristics of his former life have had more than their fair share of influence on him too. It's the biggest reason that Youngsik always feels like he can take on the world. Like he could do anything without getting a scratch on him. And even though most people think they're supposed to be doing more than their mundane, routine lives...Bael had done that in his own life. Of course Youngsik would feel a little off with such a peaceful, quiet existence...even if he doesn't necessarily dislike it. It just never felt like it was something he was meant to have.

And yet, here he is- "living it large". Skipping out of school for the day and wasting his free time dicking around at an arcade, which sounds perfect to him, honestly. Youngsik doesn't even hate school, but he sure isn't committed to going there every single day of his life.

Today had been more spur of the moment, so he hadn't told any friends he'd be skipping out either. That means for now it's just quality time for him and himself, which also suits him just fine. It's more freeing that way anyway- just going wherever he feels like for the day, and doing what he wants when he wants to. Not that he wouldn't mind company though, if company decided to show up...which, it does.

For as much as Ishtar likes to do his appearing/disappearing acts, Youngsik's already gotten kind of used to it. A moment like this doesn't even catch him off guard anymore...he's basically started expecting the other guy to show up at any given moment, and that kind of makes some of the surprise dull a tiny bit. Still, that doesn't mean he's not glad. His mysterious stranger boy is always someone Youngsik looks forward to seeing. An easy explanation is that the guy's hot, and fun to hang around with...but for some reason, Youngsik's always felt a little something more to it. Like Ishtar fits perfectly into that whole "something bigger" feeling he's always had about his life, even if he can't really be sure why.

Then again, the guy does like to act like he's some big dark secret that he's keeping hidden...maybe because he really has one, or maybe because he's trying to make himself more alluring. And Youngsik's the type to like either of those answers.

When Ishtar walks up to him, he grins widely- still staring at the screen and using his foot to tap on the DDR platform to pick his next song.]

Heeeeey it's mom of the year! Just in time for a game!

[Rolling right along with that "baby" comment, like usual. He tilts his head back a little to look at Ishtar this time- grin widening again.]

That's the best thing about skipping, you know? No lines to wait in, and no one trying to kick you off for a turn. You ever try one of these things before?

[Honestly the only thing that's even marginally annoying about Ishtar's disappearing act, is that Youngsik still has no way of contacting the guy whenever he wants to. Which still isn't too much of a problem when you think about it...since he shows up pretty damn often already anyway. But Youngsik still doesn't seem even a little afraid that it'll all just stop one day. If Ishtar's showed up this often already, he figures he's not going to want to stop anytime soon.

Exhibit A. Even on a day like this, where Youngsik literally hadn't told anyone where he'd be, somehow Ishtar still manages to track him down. It's kind of amazing in a way, you'd think the guy's stalking him or something. Which, again, Youngsik wouldn't even protest that. As long as he likes Ishtar, then what's the problem? Stalk away (assuming that's even the case).

As for right now...Youngsik might not be an idiot, but he still doesn't pick up on the fact that there's something else going on here. Not at all. Really though, why would he? He's got no reason to think anyone would be after him...well, maybe teachers aside, since he'd skipped. So it's not like his brain would automatically default to "we should go". As far as he can tell, it seems more like Ishtar's just trying to prove he can get Youngsik to stop whatever he's doing, and do whatever Ishtar wants instead.

Usually, Youngsik doesn't care about dropping things without any warning to go do something else. But usually that's when he doesn't have any other specific plans or things he wants to do...he hasn't gotten his fill of the arcade yet, or the DDR machine, so he doesn't want to give that up just yet. So he'll fight back on one a bit more, even if he does it in more of a jokey, playful way. (Sorry Ishtar, today's not your lucky day).

He can't help but laugh at the second helping of another "baby" comment, and he gives Ishtar his best grin- leaning on one of the bars on the machine and closer towards the other guy.]

C'moooooon, these songs only last...you know, a few minutes at most? Like songs usually do? Just a couple won't kill you.

["Just a couple" implying that he'd still leave with Ishtar afterwards anyway. Because he would be fine with leaving after a few rounds, but he'd only just got here. Come on Ishtar, let him see you dance a little too, he thinks it'd be a pretty damn good sight to behold. And look- he's being good, isn't he? Meeting the other guy halfway like that. Besides, how can you not think a DDR machine is fun?]

[Alright...well, shit. Ishtar's got him in his clutches now, because there's no way in hell he's going to pass up an offer as good as that one. Getting mister mystery man to show up wherever and whenever he wants? It's a done deal.

Of course, even though he's already decided on that in his head...he's not going to give his "yes" right this second. Ishtar's the one dragging him out of here anyway, and he feels like he's at least due to give him a bit of a hard time about it. Like...come on, he really did want to stay for a little while, and he's not the type to give up easily if he's already set his mind on doing something. Especially not after he was already being good and trying to meet halfway too. Still though, Ishtar's tipping the scales and making this an easier choice than it would've been otherwise. (Honestly, it's flying over his head right now that this is kind of a desperate move...because obviously Ishtar would want to spend time with him that badly anyway, right?? Maybe he'll realize it sooner or later if his ego's ever done being huge).

He's grinning- tilting his head back, and looking at the other guy behind him. Yeah, he gives absolutely no shits about being in the middle of an arcade with people around either. To be fair, it's still pretty deserted since it's the middle of a weekday...but it's not like he'd act any different if it was packed on a saturday night either.]

Hmmmmmmmmm...I dunnoooo~

[His tone's mostly light and jokey- still teasing more than anything...even if there's something like a hint of seriousness to it too.]

How'm I supposed to know you'll stick with a deal when the odds are so stacked in my favor? It's not like I have a way of getting a hold of you. You know...just saying.

[There's no subtlety about it. He shrugs and closes his eyes- shaking his head and keeping up the same tone of voice.

It's true though. Ishtar may be offering him a lot, but it's no good if he doesn't actually get to call the other guy over when he does want to pick a time. And he doesn't want to just spontaneously ask for something right now either- that's no fun. He wants to think long and hard about his decision (not really...but he does want to give it more thought than that). Besides, if there's any prize that's really worth anything- it's getting the hot mystery man's digits.]

[Sweet, sweet victory.

He knew it was only a matter of time before he'd get that number on his phone, but it's good to know it's finally, actually there. The first step in having a little more control over where and when he meets mystery man- even though he doubts it'll be that easy to get a hold of him any time he wants. It's never that simple- especially not with a guy who goes this far to begin with. Still, it's a start isn't it?

And honestly, there's no reason for him to think Ishtar would give him a fake number anyway, so he just lets out a laugh- leaning back against him as he does. It's always good to find a guy who doesn't take himself way too seriously- who'll just play along with him like this. And the even better bonus is finding someone who'll go beyond a little pda in public- even initiating it. That always makes for a better time.]

I'll just have to test it out later, then. But if I find out it's not your number, you'll be in trooouubbbllleee the next time we meeeet.

[At least the way he's phrasing it makes it obvious he doesn't think it's a fake number. Even if Ishtar did pull a fast one on him this time, he doubts he'd get too pissed over it...especially if he kept on showing up anyway, and he did get the real number next time. Although he'll definitely take the real number anyway, thanks very much.

Since he's got what he wanted, he'll be a good boy and stick to his word.

First though...Youngsik reaches up and pulls Ishtar's head down a little though- blatantly tugging him down into a kiss. Not a very long one- just short and sweet and to the point...enough to get a good taste. But he pulls back- grinning again like nothing happened. And this time he's ready to play along a little more.]

Alright, so where's mom taking me off to that's so important?

[As long as Ishtar doesn't say what they're actually doing here (that being running away from angels), Youngsik's bought the whole act. Ishtar being a mystery man is definitely helping his case too- it feels like such a typical response that it doesn't even cross his mind that there might be something else going on here. Well...nothing major anyway, and especially not dangerous.

He laughs and rolls his eyes when Ishtar puts his finger up to his lips in a "shh" gesture after saying it's a secret. Even if Youngsik ended up getting the guy's number after this long, he guesses he can't expect him to give him the answers to everything else, huh? That's too much to ask for someone who's gotta keep up that good old air of mystery. Not that he really minds all that much- it's still fun anyway, and he doubts that Ishtar would drag him off to something boring after that little display.

It makes him feel stupidly giddy when Ishtar laughs like that while he's tugging him along by his hand though. Not like some schoolgirl who can't handle a crush, but just something that makes him feel light, and happy- looking forward to finding out what they're doing. He doesn't know the other guy quite well enough to pick up on the fact that he's nervous, so...right now, he's just going along for the ride.]

I mean, I'd like hearing that normally, but for now I'd have to ask why "arcade" isn't included in "anywhere". You got somethin against them?

[He doesn't seem bothered by that though, even when he says it. Maybe because Youngsik can be a "flattery will get you everywhere" kind of guy sometimes...but also because he's still figuring that there is a plan here, somewhere.]

Wait, wait. It's not cuz you can't dance is it? Because you know, maybe I'm wrong, but I'd find that one kind of hard to believe.

["You don't judge a book by it's cover", sure, but Ishtar just seems like the type who'd be good at dancing, right? Not that DDR is exactly, you know, the same exact thing since you gotta hit your feet on the buttons the machine tells you to...but hell, he'd sure like to see any kind of dancing from the other guy. Sounds like a pretty hot show to watch for him.]

[Maybe in some ways, it's a good thing Youngsik doesn't know there's anything else going on here. It definitely makes it easier to act all carefree like this, and just joke around with Ishtar for sure...and apparently, that's enough to help the other guy a little (even if he's not realizing it right now). Honestly, another good reason he hasn't noticed is because Youngsik's the type to brazenly stare into the face of anything that's supposedly "dangerous". He barely has a sense of fear...he's not even sure if he has one at all- he can't remember the last time something scared him.

Of course, some sort of macho part of him would come out too if he felt like he could help the other guy- keeping him safe from whatever he's afraid of. And if Ishtar's paranoia keeps showing through, he might catch on eventually...but not just yet.]

Uhhh why not both kinds of dances? Usually that's the best answer when you're stuck between two things, don't you think? Both. Age restriction's never stopped me before, it's not gonna stop me now.

[Even though they both know very well that he is old enough, Youngsik still goes along with Ishtar whenever he starts acting like this. Maybe the two of them haven't known each other forever, but for as long as they've been together, it just feels natural to fall into this sort of pattern.

Stiiiilllll....he really would like both kinds of dances, right? Who in their right mind wouldn't? He slides an arm around Ishtar a bit more- tugging him closer and giving him a trademark cocky look at the same time. Alright, so...he knows he's not going to be getting a dance right now either way, but...He can still make it obvious he'd like one eventually, right? Especially when Isthar at least already offered to go clubbing with him...kinda early in the day for that right now anyway.

Either way, it feels nice to be walking this close to him, and he's happily oblivious to any of the other shit going on.]

[If it'd been someone else, he probably wouldn't have even noticed a little pause in the conversation like that. He knows his fair share of people, and it's not like it's always some big telling Thing if they miss a beat while they're talking. But given the way conversations usually go between him and Ishtar, it definitely does stick out a little more. It seems like more than anything else, Ishtar's kind of distracted with something else (and if it's big enough to distract from him, it must be a pretty big deal, right).

Honestly...part two of his thoughts on this- Ishtar bringing up that he's not feeling well. It almost make Youngsik feel like the other guy's trying to come up with some sort of excuse for...well, something else. Or maybe that he's actually worse than he's letting on. Youngsik's instincts on this sort of thing are usually pretty good...but it's still kinda hard to figure out why the guy'd do something like that. It's not like he's even got a ton of history or background on Ishtar that could help him take a stab at a guess.

Well...he's got one thing he can ask though. He tilts his head towards Ishtar a bit more and raises an eyebrow, but still goes about it kind of casually- not stopping their pace, and keeping his arm around the other guy.]

Not feeling well but you wanna drag me off somewhere anyway? Don't get me wrong, I get it. [He really just can't resist a comment like that.] But what's the big rush if you're not feeling great?

[It's an honest question too, even if Ishtar wants to keep where they're going a secret. He knows the other guy's not going to bring him to something actually sketchy, so it's not like he's feeling uneasy about any of this. But there's still...definitely something about this that's a liiitllle bit weird.

Even so, he can't help but grin at the sappiness of the last comment too- no matter what else is going on. It's important. And maybe because they're so close to each other too...he really can start to see a bit that Ishtar seems a little off.]

You know, if you just wanted to go laze around at my place or something and have me play nurse, you could've just said so from the start.
