[ Everything feels just like usually for Agreas when he wakes up. To a point where it's almost boring, really. It's not something a lot of people might imagine, but even the king of.. - well, whatever you want to call it, hell, the demon world, the other side - even the life of that sort of person isn't exactly exciting. Sure, Agreas does what he has to do, and he does his job well since everything hasn't fallen into chaos or anything, but sometimes he thinks it's just boring. Dealing with the same old whiny angels and demons gets old, especially when you've done it for a time that exceeds countless human lifespans.
Waking up in his bed like this is just part of that same routine. Except he realises that lately there's been something throwing off that routine just enough for it to have caught his interest. It's a strange weight at the blanket near his feet that makes him think of it - because.. yes, that's right, he's not here by himself right now. He actually let another demon into his bed, even if rather than besides him, the other demon is lying at the feet end of his bed. Like a dog or a cat might, really.
Agreas glances over at the demon as he lazily props himself half up with one hand, pulling a hand through his hair to push it back a little. That's right, that demon, Elijah. Elijah's been doing an awful lot of favors for him lately.. to the point that it's easy to tell he's just sucking up. Agreas knows it too, and usually he wouldn't really care for anyone who tried to suck up to him (there's a reason his conversations with his closest advisor are never really like that, after all), but Elijah goes so far with it that there's some sort of entertainment value to it. He's slowly proven bit by bit that he'd do absolutely anything for his king, and it's brought some sort of amusement to Agreas' life that made everything feel a little less bland. Enough so for him to decide to keep Elijah around and to have made the other his personal servant, despite never having had one before. Despite never having had the need for one at all, really, but he also had never imagined there could be one like Elijah to begin with.
Even the rewards the other gets for good behaviour and doing things for Agreas are just things Agreas likes as well. Mostly since Elijah is so into even these sort of things. Even getting to sleep on his bed like a pet, even sitting by his feet when Agreas is on his throne - Elijah gets so into them. It's amusing. Elijah is amusing.
It keeps driving Agreas to push a little further, trying to see what he can make the other do this time. It's not entirely maliciously, since he doesn't want to hurt the other demon or anything, but.. well, to say it's entirely good or selfless would be wrong too. Agreas is a demon, after all, and he's the king on top of it. He can't help but enjoy a little bit of powerplay here.
So after lazily staring at the other like that for a moment or two, he speaks up, just to see how instantaneous the reaction from the other will be. ]
Elijah.
[ Even though there's still some hint of the fact that he just slept in that tone, there still manages to be some authority in it. Not a direct order or anything, but it's enough for anyone who hears it to realise just who exactly they're talking to. ]
[In all honesty, Elijah would hate knowing Agreas thinks of him as a suck up. He's not just some idiot who says empty words of flattery just because he thinks its what his wants to hear, or anything like that. But...it's not like he can say he's not a suck up either, that aside. It's true enough that he'd been doing far more than his fair share of "favors" recently...and that's an understatement, in the grand scheme. As soon as Elijah had found his way in, and gotten his king's attention...that'd been a major turning point for everything in his life. It's what he'd wanted ever since he first saw Agreas...and realized just how badly...how desperately he'd wanted that man.
But you can't make a king your own...especially not when you're one of his subjects. And nowhere even close to the same strength as him. So instead, when Elijah'd finally had his first chance with securing a position near Agreas, he'd put absolutely everything into it. If there'd been onlookers to all events laid out, they could easily say that Elijah dropped everything, and started devoting his life to gaining favor with Agreas. In fact...he'd devoted a lot to trying to get that first chance with his king too...but nothing could compare once he was finally there. After he was there, it only meant fighting harder- to maintain his position, and rise from it into a more favorable one. All that time, no matter what he was offered, he never took a position of power over one that was closer to his king.
And he kept on rising until he'd gotten this far. Until Agreas had created a new position for him of a personal servant. Something the other had never done before, as long as Elijah can remember. Just thinking about it makes the adrenaline rush through his body- enough to feel like he might get sick from it, even.
Besides...being thought of as a "suck up" aside, what he doesn't mind, is that his king seems to find some form of amusement from him. Maybe thinking of it that way should feel a little demeaning...maybe it does, to a small extent. Except Elijah can still look past all of that...and it's because he can already see small, very subtle differences in his king because he's amused. Like he's enjoying himself more, even marginally...and that's still another change that's happening all because of him.
So...yes. He'll sleep on the bed like a dog. He'll sit at his king's feet by the throne. And he'll even wholeheartedly accept the position of personal servant- even if it means surrendering nearly all of his freedom. Those are still positions that're only for him and he doesn't have to share them with anyone. Anyone at all.
He'd barely been able to sleep all night because of everything that'd happened. Agreas had appointed him as his personal servant only yesterday, and Elijah's heart couldn't stop racing the entire time. Especially not when Agreas had listed off a few of his duties...especially not when Agreas brought him to his room...and especially not when Agreas told him he'd be sleeping on the same bed as him. It didn't even matter that sleeping at edge of a bed was probably a downgrade from having his own bed to himself. That bed wasn't his king's bed...and no matter what a simple thing it might seem like, there'd been an overpowering sense of thrill that'd gone through him at the knowledge.
It'd almost been too much to handle in just one day. By the time he had laid down to sleep, he'd felt like his body was a thin shell- weak from trying to contain all of the wild, hungry energy radiating inside of him. All stemming from the thoughts that kept on echoing over and over again- that he'd done it. He'd made it this far...he'd made it into his king's room...into his bed. Maybe Agreas would never truly be his, but now he could belong to his king. Now he could be closer to that same king than anyone else ever had. Now he could keep all of these parts of him- all to himself.
Elijah himself is self aware enough to realize that his mind's already been twisted into a deep obsession...but there's nothing that makes him want to stop the path he's already set himself on. Why would he, when he's already gotten more than he even knew he could?
The spiral of restless, over-excited energy kept his mind alert for hours...and an overpowering thirst that seemed to just barely keep him from salivating like a hungry, wild beast every time he caught sight of the sleeping figure on the bed. Or even heard the soft sound of steady breathing so close to him. Really...it's a small wonder that he'd managed to just lay there quietly for so long.
Even by the time morning comes, and Elijah is asleep by then...when Agreas calls out to him, his mind and his body still have that restless energy swirling around inside of them. So at the sound of his name, his eyes snap open in an instant.
Elijah rises quickly- but he doesn't seem startled, or rushed as he moves. It's almost strangely graceful...like it's clear he's still being simply being obedient right now- not just jumping up after being woken. He rests both hands down on his legs- turning over to face the sight of his king laying there in bed...and trying to fight back that same, hungry sense of desperate excitement.]
[ It's true that Elijah can at least be satisfied with the idea that all of this is his. It's special. Agreas has never gone this route with anyone before, because.. well, he was too apathic to ever have real interest in anything, let alone something like this, and there was nothing who was trying to win his favor to these kind of levels before. Sure, there were regular suck ups, but those weren't fun at all. It's not like Agreas falls for any simple form of flattery - it's exactly because Elijah goes so above and beyond that it caught his interest. Because he can see in the other demon's eyes and the way he reacts to everything that he wants Agreas so bad.. and that's amusing. Interesting. It feels oddly fun to him - "oddly" mostly since Agreas has never felt an amused feeling as strong as this one ever before.
He can see it now again too. When Elijah turns to look at him, he can see the same eagerness in the other's eyes as he's seen so often before now. It's a funny thought that anyone could be into him so deeply, but it wouldn't take a genius to see Elijah sure is that "anyone."
And... well, it's not like Agreas is fully cruel. If Elijah is so eager for him, then he can at least indulge the other a little in it, right? If he's already gone so crazy over being able to sleep in the same bed as his king, and not even right next to him or anything, but in a much more demeaning position.. then he can think of some things that should have even more effect on Elijah. And he can't wait to see just what kind of faces the other will make, honestly.
But all in due time. Going too fast with this sort of thing will just make it all pass too quickly too - and he's a demon. They're both demons. Agreas is already old as shit to begin with, it's not like he's going to run out of time anytime soon.
So before telling the other about his main plan for the two of them right now, he just holds out his hand - honestly, it looks a lot like the way someone would beckon a pet, but Agreas knows it won't diminish any of Elijah's excitement. After all-- ]
Come closer.
[ --he knows that the prospect of being closer to him and being touched by Agreas, something demons usually never get to experience, will be enough for the other anyway.
Agreas doesn't bother to move from his position from before though - still sitting here only half-upright, leaning on the elbow of the arm he isn't holding out into the other's direction. ]
[This whole situation is a little funny to him- given that he's keenly aware of just how much he'd hate being treated like this by any other person. Honestly, most demons wouldn't stand for being treated like pets...and no matter how he acts with Agreas, it's not as if Elijah doesn't have any sense of pride at all.
And yet, here Agreas is- beckoning him over like that, telling him to come closer...and Elijah can feel his heart leap in his chest over it- something that's honestly...quite a small gesture. Even the simple idea of Agreas's hand on him makes his body tense up with excitement, and his mind drift off to imagine what it'd be like. With a twisting sensation in his stomach, he realizes he likes it- being treated like a pet. As long as it's Agreas's...as long as his king things of Elijah as his own, in some way...it's still enough to make his heart pound faster in his chest.
He doesn't even mind Agreas taking his time with it...drawing things out, even if it means toying with Elijah in some way. Because it's true- they are demons with long, long lifespans ahead of them. If he's been patient this far, and rewarded with this progress- he can afford to be patient longer. As long as he's getting what he wants in the end, it's worth it. Even if it's essentially no different than him hoping, and probably inevitably begging for small scraps of any attention from his king.
Some small part in the back of his mind is a little bit disgusted at himself...but that same part of him still wants Agreas badly enough to willingly submit to it anyway. And the rest of him is strangely, but maybe unsurprisingly, thrilled that the other would use him this way.
Wordlessly, Elijah starts to move- shifting himself across the bed towards that outstretched hand. It feels like a small blessing that there's not too much space between them, and it doesn't take him long to reach the other. But regardless, he pauses right as he reaches Agreas's hand. Mostly, it's because he's still being cautious, and working out what is and isn't ok for him to do...and he's not going to risk screwing anything up by overstepping himself now. But he also pauses because...if Agreas is going to touch him, Elijah thinks he would like it if the other were to do it first. It's such a rarity, after all...and he'd like to see where that hand would go on its own.
He closes his eyes and bows his head very slightly, but still in acknowledgement. He'll be the good, obedient servant- even over such a small order like this one.]
[ At least Elijah sure doesn't have to worry about getting attention from Agreas. It would usually be a legitimate worry, considering how little interest the demon king has in pretty much anything at all, but Elijah has become the exception to that rule. He provides Agreas with a kind of entertainment and amusement that he's never felt before, and he's not very willing to let go of that tiny spot of color in his fairly bleak life. Not easily, anyway. So of course he'll keep Elijah around, giving him all of these small moments that he's already starting to feel like he needs more and more. He never would have even been able to imagine feeling so amused first thing in the morning just from having the other right here, ready to approach him or do anything as long as Agreas just told him to do so.
It's why he doesn't have any problem with touching him either. The moment Elijah so obediently lowers his head like that, Agreas' hand already moves to the top of the other's head, fingers threading a little through the locks of hair and petting the other on the head - much like most normal people would do with a pet. Especially since Agreas isn't even doing it roughly or anything, he doesn't want to cause Elijah pain here, that wouldn't really be all that amusing to him. No, the amusing part is that he knows the other will eagerly accept it, his thirst growing by the minute.
And Agreas wants to see that. So he can't keep letting the other hang his head like that.. his hand trails down from the top of Elijah's head, fingers gently and slowly sliding over the side of the other demon's face on purpose before trailing all the way down to grasp Elijah's chin between his fingers, raising it a little so he can get better eye contact with the other. Which means that Elijah in turn will be able to see a very, very pleased smirk on his king's face as his own morning treat - an expression that hardly anyone otherwise would get to see from him. No, Elijah sure won't be losing his place anytime soon, not with how much Agreas enjoys this even now. ]
Are you eager to please your king today as well?
[ Because he sure knows something the other can do for him right now, but he isn't saying it just yet.. this is one of the things he definitely wants to draw out a little so he can savor every single reaction he can get from the other first. ]
[Just like Elijah doesn't really have to worry about getting attention from Agreas, Agreas himself doesn't need to worry about Elijah's reactions ever diminishing in the slightest. Even that soft touch on his head..fingers moving through his hair...it's already more than enough to fuel all of his thirst. For just...anything from him. Even more small touches like these. He's glad his eyes are closed in that moment, because it seems to help stop him from simply leaning his head forward, and wordlessly asking for that hand to keep on touching him. Even on an instinctual level, he's starting to behave more like his king's pet, it seems...But he manages to keep himself in check for the time being.
There's plenty that he still can't hold back though, and he's sure that the other wouldn't want him to anyway. When Agreas tilts his head up and Elijah sees that expression on his face, it seems to stop his heart for a few moments. His eyes widen and his breath staggers a little- coming out almost like he's panting already, even when nothing's actually happened yet.
He can't help it. It's such a rare thing to experience any emotions on the king's face to begin with...let alone such a pleased expression. One that's directed right at him, just for him, where no one else could ever see. It's almost painful to feel so needy so early this morning, especially after such a restless night...]
Yes...
[The word leaves his mouth so eagerly, even though it's said in a soft voice. Like he's too overcome by his own neediness to speak any louder. He lets out a few more short breaths- keeping his eyes fixed on his king so the other can see any reaction he has.]
Always...
[He has no idea what Agreas has in mind, and it doesn't matter. Whatever his king wants, he'll do it without hesitation.]
[ How could he not be pleased, honestly? No matter how little emotions he usually shows - or feels, for that matter, since the problem is definitely not as much with Agreas being a secretive person as much as it's with Agreas just being a fairly apathic person, no matter that he's supposed to be the king of demons. He just never had anything to really feel a whole lot over, nothing that was as amusing and pleasing to him as Elijah is now. Just look at him.. even after having slept (or, well, lied awake) at Agreas' feet all night, Elijah is immediately this needy for him again. It only takes the small movement of his fingers through the other demon's hair for Elijah to almost already sounds like he's short of breath, like he hardly can get out words.
You don't get it much better than that. There aren't many demons at all who would think of lowering themselves this much for another demon, even if it was their king - but it's not like Agreas feels like he doesn't deserve this. Of course he deserves it. Not because he thinks much of his position as the king, but more because Elijah is doing all of this for him personally. Agreas didn't even have to fan it the way he does now, Elijah is the one who started coming on to him so thirstily. Then why not indulge in it, right?
It doesn't even take long before Agreas already knows what he wants too. There's plenty of things that, while they didn't particularly inconvenience him either, were impossible for him to get before. But now, while Elijah is here, so willing and thirsty...
The blankets had already slipped half off Agreas' body, revealing his bare chest, but now he just plainly shoves them aside entirely with a casual gesture, leaving him entirely bare. It's not like he feels the need to sleep wearing anything when he's both a demon and the king, so it leaves everything in plain sight right now - like how he's already growing slightly hard at the sight of seeing the other demon so needy for him. He definitely doesn't feel enough shame to hide that fact, considering how casual he looks while showing it off. ]
If you cause a problem, then you should help solve it too. [ Specifically bringing it up too, because.. well, he knows that if Elijah already practically loses his mind over Agreas even slightly smiling or smirking at him, then he must practically die at the idea of turning his king on, huh. He can't wait to see what kind of face the other will make.
But despite that, his tone continues to be entirely casual as he spreads his legs a little to make it even easier to see and reach. ]
If it's so hard for you to talk this morning, then why not put your mouth to better service?
[It's true...Elijah had been the one to seek Agreas out, there's no question about that. Being a demon, it'd been only natural that he knew about the demon king beforehand, and he'd always been interested from the little bit of information he'd heard...but it hadn't been until he'd seen Agreas in person that he knew he wanted him more than anything else in this world. Of course...when the one thing you want happens to be your king and you're not already close to him in any way...it makes things a lot more complicated.
As soon as he'd started pursuing the other, he knew this was the sort of life waiting for him. At least, if he managed to get this far. And the only way he could get this far was by literally and metaphorically throwing himself at his king's feet...Being open about his thirst, and making it clear that he really would do anything- even begging for scraps of attention. There's never been any ulterior motive here...this is the same thing he's always wanted from the beginning.
Agreas can indulge in him as much as he wants...Elijah doesn't care. Even if he ends up being the only one working to please his king, and Agreas doesn't do a thing back to him, this is already like a reward to him. For as long as he's had to be patient, it's finally paying off...he doesn't mind doing all of the work, especially if this is what he's working on.
His whole body quivers- unable to keep his gaze from lowering down...mesmerized by the fact that he's even had an effect on Agreas like this at all. Even if he wasn't allowed to do anything, that alone is more than enough to make his heart race madly in his chest. He swallows loudly- letting out a small breath of air... at first can only manage a small nod. But it's not long before forces a few words out in response too.]
A..anything...It's yours. It belongs to you...I'll do anything you want with it.
[His mouth, in this case...and his whole body. Whether Agreas only wants this, or if he wants more...Elijah will do it.
He shifts closer- carefully, until he's hovering over Agreas. And the closer he gets, the more it feels like his heart will pop out of his chest...the more his breathing starts getting harder...the more his body starts to shake. It feels like he's just unraveling at finally...finally getting this far. And it seems like any moment he could break out into a cold sweat.
There's just one last pause as he looks back up at the other- as if asking for permission to go ahead with it. He still has to be a good, obedient servant after all.]
[ It's amazing how easily he can draw those words out of the other. It's not as if other demons haven't tried to suck up to Agreas before whenever they wanted something - a kind of useless effort, considering Agreas isn't the type to enjoy throwing his power around despite being the king - but it had always been such obvious one time kind of things. Just sucking up because they wanted one favor from him, only to disappear afterwards. But Elijah has been acting like this so consistently for a while now, and even besides that... no matter how the other demon acts in front of him, he knows Elijah isn't just like this by nature. It's not like he's seen Elijah acting like his regular self necessarily, considering Elijah does act like this a lot in front of him, but he's picked up rumors. Agreas may be apathic, but he's not completely oblivious to the things going on in the demon world, in his kingdom. He's heard some demons talk about how Elijah is a suck up by acting like that in front of Agreas whenever they thought they were out of the king's earshot (they weren't, really) - implying that Elijah really is doing this just for him.
Which is something he likes. Elijah is different than those other demons since he doesn't seem to want any specific favor from Agreas.. who would want to go that far just for something so trivial as a favor? Instead it seems much more like Elijah is interested in just.. well, this. Being close to Agreas, being the only one who's allowed to do these things.
And that is something Agreas will let the other have for sure. He won't even be cruel about it.. there's no reason to be, after all. Agreas isn't a cruel person by nature, when he does punish another demon for something it's more for practical reasons than anything else. Which means he can at least give the other a few small extras for all of this, especially when they're things that Agreas himself doesn't mind either.
Like folding his fingers around Elijah's chin when the other looks up to him to ask for permission, and then drawing the other's head up a little to plant his own lips against Elijah's. It'd be difficult to call it a soft or sweet kiss considering how Agreas is, but it's not done in a way to hurt Elijah either. It's just a small reward for Elijah - and at the same time something that already amuses Agreas lightly with the idea of how the other's reaction to this will be.
His tongue moves into the other's mouth, going around there as if to taste him, before pulling back and ending the kiss by letting go of his hold on the other demon's face. ]
Go ahead.
[ It feels like an almost stupidly simple thing to say after doing that just now, but that's half of the fun. He won't even blame Elijah if the other is a little slow to get to what he's supposed to do now, no matter how hard Agreas is already - the other's reactions are always so good that he can wait a moment here. ]
