[ Everything feels just like usually for Agreas when he wakes up. To a point where it's almost boring, really. It's not something a lot of people might imagine, but even the king of.. - well, whatever you want to call it, hell, the demon world, the other side - even the life of that sort of person isn't exactly exciting. Sure, Agreas does what he has to do, and he does his job well since everything hasn't fallen into chaos or anything, but sometimes he thinks it's just boring. Dealing with the same old whiny angels and demons gets old, especially when you've done it for a time that exceeds countless human lifespans.

Waking up in his bed like this is just part of that same routine. Except he realises that lately there's been something throwing off that routine just enough for it to have caught his interest. It's a strange weight at the blanket near his feet that makes him think of it - because.. yes, that's right, he's not here by himself right now. He actually let another demon into his bed, even if rather than besides him, the other demon is lying at the feet end of his bed. Like a dog or a cat might, really.

Agreas glances over at the demon as he lazily props himself half up with one hand, pulling a hand through his hair to push it back a little. That's right, that demon, Elijah. Elijah's been doing an awful lot of favors for him lately.. to the point that it's easy to tell he's just sucking up. Agreas knows it too, and usually he wouldn't really care for anyone who tried to suck up to him (there's a reason his conversations with his closest advisor are never really like that, after all), but Elijah goes so far with it that there's some sort of entertainment value to it. He's slowly proven bit by bit that he'd do absolutely anything for his king, and it's brought some sort of amusement to Agreas' life that made everything feel a little less bland. Enough so for him to decide to keep Elijah around and to have made the other his personal servant, despite never having had one before. Despite never having had the need for one at all, really, but he also had never imagined there could be one like Elijah to begin with.

Even the rewards the other gets for good behaviour and doing things for Agreas are just things Agreas likes as well. Mostly since Elijah is so into even these sort of things. Even getting to sleep on his bed like a pet, even sitting by his feet when Agreas is on his throne - Elijah gets so into them. It's amusing. Elijah is amusing.

It keeps driving Agreas to push a little further, trying to see what he can make the other do this time. It's not entirely maliciously, since he doesn't want to hurt the other demon or anything, but.. well, to say it's entirely good or selfless would be wrong too. Agreas is a demon, after all, and he's the king on top of it. He can't help but enjoy a little bit of powerplay here.

So after lazily staring at the other like that for a moment or two, he speaks up, just to see how instantaneous the reaction from the other will be. ]

Elijah.

[ Even though there's still some hint of the fact that he just slept in that tone, there still manages to be some authority in it. Not a direct order or anything, but it's enough for anyone who hears it to realise just who exactly they're talking to. ]
