Shinpachi's too busy throwing on his haori to immediately respond when she says he should be getting some rest, but apparently she already seems to have anticipated his response - because of course he's not going to rest, there's no way a human would have had to rest after that trip unless they were being lazy, so there's no need for him to go take a nap now.
.. although he probably can't argue with the last part. As much as he just wants to act and live like a normal person as much as possible, he knows it's impossible with his body. He just wants to sleep at night, but then he ends up lying awake for hours at a time or waking up after just a little bit of sleep since his biology just works that way now. So he probably should rest a little when they get back or he won't even be fit for battle anymore, and both for the sake of his own pride and his promise to take care of Chizuru he has to make sure to be in good shape. ]
