ooc; setting up dating auction post for hh
Who: Minako and everyone who wants to come to the dating auction!
What: It's almost Valentine's Day and the self-proclaimed goddess of love and beauty of course can't just let that pass quietly, so she's decided to start a dating auction! And she's asked people to sign up or just forced them to, so it's rather busy..
When: October 10th, probably early evening so nobody will be stuck at school or work!
Where: The Moe Moe Funtime Haven cafe!
Rating: Probably PG, but it depends on who tags in, really.
[ Welcome one and all to the dating auction! Minako has literally put up flyers all over town and tried to stuff them into everyone's mailboxes, so it shouldn't be hard to know what's going on today at the cafe she runs with Usagi and Chibiusa. If you show up you'll find the entire cafe decorated with hearts and other kinds of pink and red decorations.. Minako doesn't do a half job with these kind of things, nope siree. And hey, she's had people to help out with it. There's of course tons of food and sweets at the cafe-- for the occasion some of the smaller sweets are free, but for actual stuff like cakes you'll still have to pay, Minako's a businesswoman, okay.
She also set up a tiny stage inside to present the people whose dates are up for auction on one by one. Minako is playing hostess and so she'll eager be showing them off right before bidding starts and probably grossly exaggerating their good points. Yes, if the auction itself wouldn't be embarassing enough, then Minako acting like.. well.. herself would probably be enough.
Feel free to mingle as you wait for your turn or for the person you want to bid on! ]
( ooc: I'll leave the bidding up to you guys, so feel free to just assume that it's over once nobody has replied to the bidding thread for several days to give some people who are late or in funky timezones the chance to bid too! And yes, if you're up for auction then you're allowed to bid on other people as well before or after your own turn to spice things up. Minako is totally okay with people having five different Valentine's Day dates and encourages it, after all.. Bidding always starts at $1 and you can increase it with as much as you want, Minako's not too picky.
