[ As much as it seems to anyone else that the two of them are only lighthearted friends who crack jokes and eat food and disappear at the first sign of serious trouble, they call each other best friend for a reason, and it isn't just because they exist in a perpetual cycle of buying each other lunch. They're best friends because when things like this go down, there's no turning away. Jaejin is just as accepting of a battered Minhwan in his house as a smarmy one who dances around and touches all his things.
Though 'accepting' is a word that only goes so far. Accepting of Minhwan and everything he does to make anyone else hate him? Sure, that comes as a constant state, but Jaejin would never accept this kind of damage inflicted on his best friend. Just seeing it makes his blood boil, and if it weren't for the fact that Minhwan needs him to walk right now, he'd grab the nearest blunt object and go hunt down the scumbags who did this.
(Which isnt to say that plan is off the table. It most certainly is not, and as soon as he makes sure Minhwan is okay he's going out on a headhunt.)
He makes no complaints as he leads Minhwan inside the house, carrying most of his weight without a word, perfectly accepting to carry his best friend now, if Minhwan so much as hinted at needing it.
